Peace Family Agreements ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website, the PeaceHub client portal, and people who contact us about our services. We provide fixed-fee, virtual family agreement services across Saskatchewan. This policy is intended to comply with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

Information we collect

Information you give us

Such as your name, email address, phone number, the city you live in, and any details you choose to share when you complete our contact form, book a call, or correspond with us.

PeaceHub client portal

When you use PeaceHub, we collect your account email, intake answers, documents you upload, and information about your matter's progress. We use Supabase for account authentication, the portal database, and private document storage. The PeaceHub project is hosted in Canada (Central). Access to a matter is limited to its connected client and authorized Peace Family Agreements staff. We use this information to provide your engaged services and keep you informed of next steps.

PeaceHub does not load Google Analytics, Google Ads, or Meta advertising tags. Your intake answers and documents are not sent to those advertising platforms. Account setup and password reset messages are sent through our authentication email provider. Contact Hailee if you need help accessing or correcting your portal information.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical information using cookies and similar technologies, including your device type, browser, operating system, approximate location (derived from your IP address), the pages you view, the links you click, and how you arrived at our site.

Analytics and advertising cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. We also use advertising and remarketing tools, including the Google Ads tag and the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) pixel, which use cookies to measure the performance of our marketing and to show relevant ads on other platforms. These tools may set cookies on your device and collect information about your visit. You can opt out as described under "Your choices and opt-outs" below.

Signed engagement draft preparation

With your authorization, Hailee may send a signed engagement letter to OpenAI’s API to prepare a draft list of agreed services, homework and document requirements. Hailee checks the draft against the signed original before applying it. It does not provide automatic legal advice or open an account. You can ask Hailee for manual preparation and human assistance instead.

API information is not used for model training by default unless the organization opts in. The API’s default abuse-monitoring logs may retain submitted content and responses for up to 30 days, with longer retention in legal or safety circumstances. This feature uses an unsaved response setting, which does not remove abuse-monitoring retention. This separate processing does not have a configured Canadian processing guarantee. The signed original remains in PeaceHub’s private file storage. Read the processing provider’s data controls.

How we use your information

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with trusted service providers who help us operate, such as our website host, scheduling/booking tool, email provider, and analytics and advertising platforms (Google and Meta), who are required to protect it and use it only to provide services to us. We may also disclose information where required by law or by the rules that govern our practice.

Email and CASL

We send commercial electronic messages only where permitted under CASL, for example, where you have given consent, where we have an existing business relationship, or where your business contact information has been conspicuously published and our message is relevant to your role. Every commercial email we send identifies us, provides a way to contact us, and includes a working unsubscribe mechanism. If you ask to stop receiving messages, we will honour your request within 10 business days.

Your choices and opt-outs

• Browser settings: most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies; some features may not function as intended if you do.
• Google Analytics: install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
• Google Ads personalization: manage your ad settings at myadcenter.google.com.
• Meta ads: manage ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account settings.
• Email: unsubscribe at any time using the link in any commercial email, or by contacting us.

Confidentiality

Information you share with us in the course of seeking or receiving services is treated as confidential and handled in accordance with our professional obligations. Browsing this website does not create a solicitor-client relationship; that relationship begins only when we are formally engaged.

Data retention and security

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above or as required by our professional and legal obligations, and we then dispose of it securely. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your rights under PIPEDA

Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to withdraw your consent to certain uses, subject to our professional and legal obligations. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

Children's privacy

Peace Family Agreements’ services and PeaceHub accounts are intended for adults. We do not invite children to create accounts or submit information directly. Adult clients may provide information about their children where reasonably necessary to provide family-law services, including information relating to parenting arrangements, schooling, health, support and family circumstances.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent change.
