Saskatchewan Uncontested Divorce Guide

Distinguish divorce filing from agreement work and prepare for the signing and court steps that apply.

General educational information, updated October 6, 2026. It is not advice about your individual circumstances.

Confirm what is resolved

The uncontested or joint divorce service is for circumstances where relevant parenting, support and property issues are resolved. Tell Hailee about existing agreements, orders and any question that remains open.

Divorce filing is separate from drafting or negotiating a separation agreement unless your written package includes both. The divorce service does not silently include resolution of support or property disputes.

Understand the published service fee

Professional fees for uncontested or joint divorce start at $2,497. Court filing fees, applicable taxes and third-party costs are separate. Hailee reviews the circumstances and confirms the fixed fee and scope in writing.

For families with children, Family Suite starts at $7,997 for its listed agreement, parenting and eligible divorce scope. The divorce milestone is billed only if and when the divorce is filed; the engagement sets out the total and payment stages.

Prepare your records

Hailee explains the records and information needed for the applicable filing route. Be ready to share existing agreements or orders and relevant marriage, parenting and support information privately.

Do not assume an online guide has checked eligibility or replaced required documents. The practical divorce guide offers preparation steps; individualized advice and document review happen within the engagement.

Separate preparation from court processing

Peace works virtually with you. Hailee explains any document, signing or court steps that apply. Court requirements and processing times remain outside Peace’s control.

Timing varies with the agreed work, disclosure, responses, other advisers, signing and court processing. Priority preparation, if separately available and agreed, does not promise priority court processing.

Keep copies and understand completion

Hailee confirms the work and deliverable included in the divorce engagement. An uploaded or labelled draft is not an executed final document, and a checklist bar is not legal completion.

Clients receive copies of completed documents for their own records. Completed matters are read-only in PeaceHub, and retained access follows file-retention and professional obligations rather than a lifetime promise.

Keep preparing with the related guides

Payment arrangements and milestone billing are confirmed in your written engagement before work begins. Published fees are starting points; GST, PST and third-party costs are separate.
